WHAT'S A 'CREATIVE'?

YOU.

A CREATIVE is anyone who brings their ideas to fruition. Whether it's planting a garden or penning a symphony, creativity is our birthrighteveryone is creative. We all have ideas we'd like to manifest: poetry, a painting, a performance, a novel, a sewing project, a circus.

Whether you're just starting out or have lots of experience, I will nurture your journey and support your goals. I have a vast skill set earned from my experience producing tons of creative work and collaborating with a bevy of artists on big and small projects: from large-scale performance works and music videos to painting exhibits and published writing.

BRAINSTORMING: UNCENSORED: big (and little!) ideas need space to roam free

A central pillar of my philosophy is to dream unfettered. Ideas require space, nurturance, and time to develop. Understanding that pesky inner voice, The Inner Critic, and relegating it to a de-centeralized place in your internal narrative is key to honoring your unique creative spark.

HONOR YOUR WORK: BIT BY BIT, STEP BY STEP

How we do one thing is how we do everything. Honor each moment, honor each activity— honor your work— and in doing so, you do the most important thing: honor yourself. In recognizing the value of your ideas and your process, you'll further appreciate the work of others.

A wise woman once said to me, "Change one thing and everything changes." One thing. Really. Not kidding here: get up a half-hour early, take a walk, read one paragraph from a book everyday—  everything counts. Everything. Organize your work space: counts. Take a five-minute breathing break: counts. Make a finely attended-to cup of tea: counts. I call this "creative procrastinating," and it lets Creative You know you're serious. When we change small things consistently, we see that incremental change is cumulative: efforts pay off.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

All the small steps add up to The Thing you're working on. One grain of sand into the bucket at a time— and then, voila!: Magnificent Sand Castle!

MAKE IT HAPPEN

I'll support you and help you hone the skills needed to brainstorm, plan, organize, and implement!

(re)DEFINING SUCCESS: YOUR YARDSTICK, YOUR STANDARDS

Only you can decide what's right for you. Only you can decide what is valuable and worth your time: whether it's planting a tomato patch or making a movie.
